September in Wrocław is the time for the International Oktoberfest – a unique event that has, for years, combined the tradition of a folk festival with international business networking. On 5 September 2025, the 21st edition of the International Oktoberfest took place, bringing together hundreds of representatives from companies, institutions, the diplomatic corps and regional authorities. The gathering has become one of the most recognisable fixtures on Lower Silesia’s business calendar.

The evening was opened by the hosts – Justyna Młynarz, Ilona Chodorowska and Łukasz Chodkowski – with appearances on stage from representatives of the diplomatic community and Wrocław authorities, including Torsten Göhler, Deputy Consul General of Germany; Jakub Mazur, Deputy Mayor of Wrocław; Dr Lars Gutheil, Chief Executive of AHK Poland; and Michał Obiegała, Chairman of the BPCC. They all highlighted Lower Silesia’s role in building international economic relations.

✨ The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial tapping of the beer keg and the communal toast, which officially opened IO2025. From that moment on, the international, festival-style atmosphere, live music and business conversations flowed in unison. Guests enjoyed themselves just like at an authentic Bavarian fair – to the sounds of a Tyrolean band and the rhythm of Scottish bagpipes.

Traditional competitions and the thrill of vying for prizes in OKTOGAME added excitement, while tables laden with regional delicacies and drinks encouraged conversation and networking.

The International Oktoberfest is not only about beer and music, but above all a space for dialogue, exchanging experiences and building lasting business relationships in an international setting. This blend of cultures, energy and people gives the event its unique character and draws an ever-growing number of participants each year.
